Extra videos

Here are the promised design thinking debrief and writing proposals videos. These are from last year’s class.

I’ve also added a video from the old version of this unit from 2014 on strategic programming, which I think you’ll find interesting.

Purposeful programming

A couple of years ago, Jo Beazley (who joined us in our readers’ advisory Twitter chat) guest lectured in one of my units (the old Information Programs) on purposeful programming. Jo provides her perspective on the importance of strategic linkage in programming and programming for a purpose, and runs through a bunch of her projects to illustrate these ideas.

Hi Kate the first reading link is broken: Chapter 5: Series, formats, themes and tie ins: putting the pieces together in Robertson, D. A. (2005). Cultural Programming for Libraries: Linking Libraries, Communities, and Culture. Also cant find an online copy @ QUT library

Hi Kate, is the link to the first reading (Chapter 5: Series, formats, themes and tie ins: putting the pieces together) not linking properly? It seems to be taking me to Week 3. I couldn’t find the e-book in the QUT library – just the print book – so sourced it at a different library (of course, not being able to find the e-book at QUT might be just a me-thing).
